Over the last few years, this has included the following items:
- To contribute towards building a platform and new front door to provide an accessible entrance to the Scout Hut.
- To extend beyond the insurance funds after a flood to bring the kitchen, Scouters meeting room and hall up to higher standards. This improved the hygiene standards in the kitchen and provided greater efficiency of use for the meeting room and hall.
- To contribute towards purchase of new tents. Hike tents have been purchased to support the Group's activities in guiding youngsters through the Duke of Edinburgh and Queen's Scout award programs. New tents have also been purchased to support the regular camps undertaken by the various sections of the Group.
- To provide additional funds to each section of the Group to assist with more costly activities such as Sailing, Gliding and Caving for Scouts, and trips to National Rail Museum and Cadbury World for Beavers and Cubs. The intention of the Group is to ensure that no youngster is prevented from taking part in activities because of inability to meet the cost.
Additionally, donations are made to
- The Dronfield Town Mayor's Charity Fund, which supports many local good causes
- The police benevolent fund, for their support on the day
- Muscular Dystrophy, in memory of a local scout
- Local community and baptist churches who run our drinks stations
